Artist's Comments

This is a poster I did for a friend of mine who needed some form of advertising for her talk. It was made by painting, pasting and printing. She didn't commission me for it, as she was still a student then, so I requested that it be returned to me once her project was done.

Her talk went well I suppose... but of all things, one of her professors liked it and took my poster away!
When I asked for it, she sheepishly told me that it's probably somewhere in the UK or something.

I don't know how any of you would feel, but me, I was pretty much looking like the picture in the poster.
This is just a scanned picture of my original work in which she (thankfully) remembered to record down just before it went missing.

If anyone sees this being used any where, please let me know. I'd like to have it back.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that you didn't get it back. As it seems like a personal piece to you, I would probably be pretty upset as well. I really like this piece because it is raw--pure and simple emotion that many can understand. I like the dark colors and the whole tone of this piece. Great job!

Geez...it's bad that the prof took it away....:shakesfist:

But I can understand him - it's a great poster! Wonderful use of solid colors, letters/newspaper articles.
It's great!

It'll always be a bad pinch for the artist when you have an artwork stolen. But thanks for the compliment.
